Lakeside Retreat in the Poconos

Designed as a vacation home for returning clients, the Lakeside Retreat is intended to host summer family gatherings in the Poconos. This new cottage gracefully integrates within its natural surroundings, optimizes panoramic lake vistas, and embraces the rugged aesthetic of the mountains. Inspired by the Adirondack design vocabulary, the residence is conceived as a visually complementary companion to the existing main residence on the property. River rock grounds the design, while timber trusses and a custom stained-glass window lend character and charm. Bright interiors are organized around a generous kitchen and great room with a multi-sided Rumford fireplace in between, fostering ease of gathering and connection to the outdoors. Porches and terraces orient living areas toward the eastern lake views and provide opportunities for entertaining family and friends. The result is a relaxed yet considered lake house, tailored for multigenerational family life.
