Penllyn Recreation Barn

The Penllyn Recreation Barn is set on an idyllic property in Blue Bell that dates back to the early 1900s. Both stylistically and physically connected by a breezeway to the original Victorian farmhouse, the new barn is intended to maintain a cohesive aesthetic throughout the estate. The design combines old-world architectural charm with modern functionality, layering work and fitness areas with places to gather and play. Exterior details—including a copper-roofed cupola, wood brackets and exposed rafter tails, a decorative hay hoist, a faux owl hole, and an iron horse weathervane—enhance its appearance as a traditional Pennsylvania barn. Overlooking the pool and patio from the second level, the great room with attached kitchenette is enriched by decorative white oak beams and conventional barn doors. Designed for both practical use and entertainment, the completed barn will infuse the Lower Gwynedd estate with timeless character.
